Jb 35.1:   Et Élihu reprit la parole et dit :
Jb 35.1:   Elihu spake moreover, and said,
Jb 35.2:   Penses-tu que ceci soit fondé, que tu aies dit : Je suis plus juste que *Dieu ?
Jb 35.2:   Thinkest thou this to be right, [that] thou saidst, My righteousness [is] more than God's?
Jb 35.3:   Car tu as demandé quel profit tu en as : Quel avantage en ai-je de plus que si j’avais péché ?
Jb 35.3:   For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? [and], What profit shall I have, [if I be cleansed] from my sin?
Jb 35.4:   Je te répliquerai, moi, par des paroles, et à tes amis avec toi :
Jb 35.4:   I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.
Jb 35.5:   Regarde les cieux et vois, et contemple les nuées : elles sont plus hautes que toi.
Jb 35.5:   Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds [which] are higher than thou.
Jb 35.6:   Si tu pèches, quel tort lui causes-tu ? et si tes transgressions se multiplient, que lui as-tu fait ?
Jb 35.6:   If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or [if] thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?
Jb 35.7:   Si tu es juste, que lui donnes-tu, ou que reçoit-il de ta main ?
Jb 35.7:   If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand?
Jb 35.8:   Pour un homme comme toi ta méchanceté [peut être quelque chose], et pour un fils d’homme, ta justice.
Jb 35.8:   Thy wickedness [may hurt] a man as thou [art]; and thy righteousness [may profit] the son of man.
Jb 35.9:   On crie à cause de la multitude des oppressions, et on appelle au secours à cause du bras des grands ;
Jb 35.9:   By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make [the oppressed] to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.
Jb 35.10:   Et on ne dit pas : Où est #Dieu, mon créateur, qui donne des chants de joie dans la nuit,
Jb 35.10:   But none saith, Where [is] God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;
Jb 35.11:   Qui nous rend plus instruits que les bêtes de la terre, et plus sages que les oiseaux des cieux ?
Jb 35.11:   Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
Jb 35.12:   Alors on crie, et il ne répond pas, à cause de l’orgueil des méchants.
Jb 35.12:   There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.
Jb 35.13:   Certainement ce qui est vanité *Dieu ne l’écoute pas, et le Tout-puissant ne le regarde pas.
Jb 35.13:   Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
Jb 35.14:   Quoique tu dises que tu ne le vois pas, le jugement est devant lui ; attends-le donc.
Jb 35.14:   Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, [yet] judgment [is] before him; therefore trust thou in him.
Jb 35.15:   Et maintenant, si sa colère n’a pas encore visité, [Job] ne connaît- il pas [sa] grande arrogance ?
Jb 35.15:   But now, because [it is] not [so], he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth [it] not in great extremity:
Jb 35.16:   Et Job ouvre sa bouche vainement ; il entasse des paroles sans science.
Jb 35.16:   Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.
