Jb 24.1:   Pourquoi des temps ne sont-ils pas réservés par devers le Tout-puissant, et ceux qui le connaissent ne voient-ils pas ses jours ?
Jb 24.1:   Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?
Jb 24.2:   Ils reculent les bornes, ils pillent le troupeau et le paissent ;
Jb 24.2:   [Some] remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed [thereof].
Jb 24.3:   Ils emmènent l’âne des orphelins et prennent en gage le boeuf de la veuve ;
Jb 24.3:   They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
Jb 24.4:   Ils détournent du chemin les pauvres ; les malheureux de la terre se cachent ensemble :
Jb 24.4:   They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.
Jb 24.5:   Voici, ânes sauvages dans le désert, ils sortent pour leur besogne dès le matin, pour chercher leur proie ; le désert leur [fournit] le pain pour leurs enfants ;
Jb 24.5:   Behold, [as] wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising betimes for a prey: the wilderness [yieldeth] food for them [and] for [their] children.
Jb 24.6:   Ils moissonnent le fourrage dans les champs, ils grappillent la vigne du méchant ;
Jb 24.6:   They reap [every one] his corn in the field: and they gather the vintage of the wicked.
Jb 24.7:   Ils passent la nuit tout nus, sans vêtement, et n’ont pas de couverture par le froid ;
Jb 24.7:   They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that [they have] no covering in the cold.
Jb 24.8:   Ils sont trempés par les averses des montagnes, et, sans refuge, ils se serrent contre le rocher....
Jb 24.8:   They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
Jb 24.9:   Ils arrachent de la mamelle l’orphelin, et [de la main] des pauvres ils prennent des gages :
Jb 24.9:   They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor.
Jb 24.10:   Ceux-ci vont nus, sans vêtement, et, affamés, ils portent la gerbe ;
Jb 24.10:   They cause [him] to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaf [from] the hungry;
Jb 24.11:   Entre leurs murailles ils font de l’huile, ils foulent le pressoir, et ont soif.
Jb 24.11:   [Which] make oil within their walls, [and] tread [their] winepresses, and suffer thirst.
Jb 24.12:   Des villes sortent les soupirs des mourants, et l’âme des blessés à mort crie, et #Dieu n’impute pas l’indignité [qui se commet].
Jb 24.12:   Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly [to them].
Jb 24.13:   D’autres sont ennemis de la lumière, ils ne connaissent pas ses voies et ne demeurent pas dans ses sentiers.
Jb 24.13:   They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
Jb 24.14:   Le meurtrier se lève avec la lumière, il tue le malheureux et le pauvre, et la nuit il est comme le voleur.
Jb 24.14:   The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief.
Jb 24.15:   L’oeil aussi de l’adultère guette le crépuscule, en disant : Aucun oeil ne m’apercevra ; et il met un voile sur son visage.
Jb 24.15:   The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth [his] face.
Jb 24.16:   Dans les ténèbres ils percent les maisons, de jour ils s’enferment; ils ne connaissent pas la lumière ;
Jb 24.16:   In the dark they dig through houses, [which] they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light.
Jb 24.17:   Car le matin est pour eux tous l’ombre de la mort, car ils connaissent les terreurs de l’ombre de la mort.
Jb 24.17:   For the morning [is] to them even as the shadow of death: if [one] know [them, they are in] the terrors of the shadow of death.
Jb 24.18:   Ils sont rapides sur la face des eaux, leur part est maudite sur la terre ; ils ne se tournent pas vers les vignes.
Jb 24.18:   He [is] swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholdeth not the way of the vineyards.
Jb 24.19:   La sécheresse et la chaleur emportent l’eau de neige ; ainsi le shéol fait-il de ceux qui ont péché.
Jb 24.19:   Drought and heat consume the snow waters: [so doth] the grave [those which] have sinned.
Jb 24.20:   Le sein maternel les oublie ; les vers se repaissent d’eux ; on ne se souvient plus d’eux : l’iniquité sera brisée comme du bois !
Jb 24.20:   The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree.
Jb 24.21:   Ils dépouillent la femme stérile qui n’enfante pas, et ils ne font pas de bien à la veuve.
Jb 24.21:   He evil entreateth the barren [that] beareth not: and doeth not good to the widow.
Jb 24.22:   Et par leur force ils traînent les puissants ; ils se lèvent et on n’est plus sûr de sa vie.
Jb 24.22:   He draweth also the mighty with his power: he riseth up, and no [man] is sure of life.
Jb 24.23:   [Dieu] leur donne la sécurité, et ils s’appuient sur elle ; mais il a ses yeux sur leurs voies.
Jb 24.23:   [Though] it be given him [to be] in safety, whereon he resteth; yet his eyes [are] upon their ways.
Jb 24.24:   Ils sont élevés : dans peu, ils ne sont plus ; ils défaillent, et sont recueillis comme tous ; ils sont coupés comme la tête d’un épi.
Jb 24.24:   They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all [other], and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
Jb 24.25:   Et si cela n’est pas, qui me fera menteur et réduira mon discours à néant ?
Jb 24.25:   And if [it be] not [so] now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
