Jb 11.1: Et Tsophar, le Naamathite, répondit et dit :
Jb 11.1: Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
Jb 11.2: La multitude des paroles ne recevrait-elle pas de réponse, et un grand parleur serait-il justifié ?
Jb 11.2: Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?
Jb 11.3: Tes mensonges doivent-ils faire taire les gens ? Te moqueras-tu, sans que personne te fasse honte ?
Jb 11.3: Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?
Jb 11.4: Car tu as dit : Ma doctrine est pure, et je suis sans tache à tes yeux !
Jb 11.4: For thou hast said, My doctrine [is] pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.
Jb 11.5: Oh ! qu’il plût à #Dieu de parler et d’ouvrir ses lèvres contre toi,
Jb 11.5: But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;
Jb 11.6: Et de te raconter les secrets de la sagesse, comment ils sont le double de ce qu’on réalise ! Et sache que #Dieu laisse dans l’oubli [beaucoup] de ton iniquité.
Jb 11.6: And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that [they are] double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee [less] than thine iniquity [deserveth].
Jb 11.7: Peux-tu, en sondant, découvrir ce qui est en #Dieu, ou découvriras-tu parfaitement le Tout-puissant ?
Jb 11.7: Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?
Jb 11.8: Ce sont les hauteurs des cieux, - que feras-tu ? C’est plus profond que le shéol, qu’en sauras-tu ?
Jb 11.8: [It is] as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?
Jb 11.9: Plus longue que la terre est sa mesure, plus large que la mer.
Jb 11.9: The measure thereof [is] longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
Jb 11.10: S’il passe et enferme et fait comparaître, qui donc le détournera ?
Jb 11.10: If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?
Jb 11.11: Car il connaît, lui, les hommes vains, et il voit l’iniquité sans que [l’homme] s’en aperçoive ;
Jb 11.11: For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider [it]?
Jb 11.12: Et l’homme stupide s’enhardit, quoique l’homme naisse comme le poulain de l’âne sauvage.
Jb 11.12: For vain man would be wise, though man be born [like] a wild ass's colt.
Jb 11.13: Si tu prépares ton coeur et que tu étendes tes mains vers lui,
Jb 11.13: If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him;
Jb 11.14: Si tu éloignes l’iniquité qui est dans ta main, et que tu ne laisses pas l’injustice demeurer dans tes tentes,
Jb 11.14: If iniquity [be] in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.
Jb 11.15: Alors tu lèveras ta face sans tache, tu seras ferme et tu ne craindras pas ;
Jb 11.15: For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:
Jb 11.16: Car tu oublieras ta misère, tu t’en souviendras comme des eaux écoulées ;
Jb 11.16: Because thou shalt forget [thy] misery, [and] remember [it] as waters [that] pass away:
Jb 11.17: [Ta] vie se lèvera plus claire que le plein midi ; si tu étais couvert de ténèbres, tu seras comme le matin ;
Jb 11.17: And [thine] age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.
Jb 11.18: Et tu auras de la confiance, parce qu’il y aura de l’espoir ; tu examineras [tout], et tu dormiras en sûreté ;
Jb 11.18: And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig [about thee, and] thou shalt take thy rest in safety.
Jb 11.19: Tu te coucheras, et il n’y aura personne pour te faire peur, et beaucoup rechercheront ta faveur.
Jb 11.19: Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make [thee] afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.
Jb 11.20: Mais les yeux des méchants seront consumés, et [tout] refuge périra pour eux, et leur espoir sera d’expirer.
Jb 11.20: But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope [shall be as] the giving up of the ghost.
