Jb 5.1:   Crie donc ! y a-t-il quelqu’un qui te réponde ? Et vers lequel des saints te tourneras-tu ?
Jb 5.1:   Call now, if there be any that will answer thee; and to which of the saints wilt thou turn?
Jb 5.2:   Car le chagrin fait mourir le sot, et la jalousie tue le simple.
Jb 5.2:   For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one.
Jb 5.3:   J’ai vu le sot s’enraciner, et soudain j’ai maudit sa demeure ;
Jb 5.3:   I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation.
Jb 5.4:   Ses fils sont loin de la sûreté, et sont écrasés dans la porte, et il n’y a personne pour délivrer ;
Jb 5.4:   His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither [is there] any to deliver [them].
Jb 5.5:   Sa moisson, l’affamé la mange, et jusque parmi les épines il la prend ; et le piège guette son bien.
Jb 5.5:   Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance.
Jb 5.6:   Car l’affliction ne sort pas de la poussière, et la misère ne germe pas du sol;
Jb 5.6:   Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;
Jb 5.7:   Car l’homme est né pour la misère, comme les étincelles volent en haut.
Jb 5.7:   Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.
Jb 5.8:   Mais moi je rechercherai *Dieu, et devant Dieu je placerai ma cause, -
Jb 5.8:   I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:
Jb 5.9:   Qui fait de grandes choses qu’on ne peut sonder, des merveilles à ne pouvoir les compter ;
Jb 5.9:   Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:
Jb 5.10:   Qui donne la pluie sur la face de la terre, et envoie des eaux sur la face des campagnes,
Jb 5.10:   Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields:
Jb 5.11:   Plaçant en haut ceux qui sont abaissés ; et ceux qui sont en deuil sont élevés au bonheur.
Jb 5.11:   To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.
Jb 5.12:   Il dissipe les projets des hommes rusés, et leurs mains n’accomplissent pas leurs conseils.
Jb 5.12:   He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform [their] enterprise.
Jb 5.13:   Il prend les sages dans leur ruse, et le conseil des astucieux est précipité :
Jb 5.13:   He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.
Jb 5.14:   De jour, ils rencontrent les ténèbres, et en plein midi ils marchent à tâtons, comme de nuit.
Jb 5.14:   They meet with darkness in the daytime, and grope in the noonday as in the night.
Jb 5.15:   Et il sauve le pauvre de l’épée, de leur bouche, et de la main du fort ;
Jb 5.15:   But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.
Jb 5.16:   Et il arrive au chétif ce qu’il espère, et l’iniquité a la bouche fermée.
Jb 5.16:   So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth.
Jb 5.17:   Voici, bienheureux l’homme que #Dieu reprend ! Ne méprise donc pas le châtiment du Tout-puissant.
Jb 5.17:   Behold, happy [is] the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:
Jb 5.18:   Car c’est lui qui fait la plaie et qui la bande ; il frappe, et ses mains guérissent.
Jb 5.18:   For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.
Jb 5.19:   En six détresses il te délivrera, et, dans sept, le mal ne t’atteindra pas.
Jb 5.19:   He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
Jb 5.20:   Dans la famine il te délivrera de la mort, et, dans la guerre, de la puissance de l’épée.
Jb 5.20:   In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.
Jb 5.21:   Tu seras à couvert du fouet de la langue, et tu ne craindras pas le désastre quand il viendra.
Jb 5.21:   Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.
Jb 5.22:   Tu te riras du désastre et de la faim, et tu n’auras pas peur des bêtes de la terre ;
Jb 5.22:   At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.
Jb 5.23:   Car tu auras une alliance avec les pierres des champs, et les bêtes des champs seront en paix avec toi.
Jb 5.23:   For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.
Jb 5.24:   Tu sauras que ta tente est prospère, tu visiteras ta demeure et tu n’y trouveras rien de manque,
Jb 5.24:   And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle [shall be] in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin.
Jb 5.25:   Et tu sauras que ta postérité est nombreuse, et tes rejetons, comme l’herbe de la terre.
Jb 5.25:   Thou shalt know also that thy seed [shall be] great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth.
Jb 5.26:   Tu entreras au sépulcre en bonne vieillesse, comme on enlève le tas de gerbes en sa saison.
Jb 5.26:   Thou shalt come to [thy] grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season.
Jb 5.27:   Voici, nous avons examiné cela ; il en est ainsi. Écoute-le, et sache-le pour toi-même.
Jb 5.27:   Lo this, we have searched it, so it [is]; hear it, and know thou [it] for thy good.
